You don’t have to speak, just your attendance is enough. I know 4pm in inconvenient to many, including myself. Being late is better than not showing up!

“As all of you know, Pine Log WMA is for sale, and we all face the potential loss of our access to that acreage. Not only that, but numerous species of wildlife would be robbed of habitat critical to their survival.
But it’s not over yet.
One way to fight the sale of Pine Log WMA is to oppose a proposed rezoning plan that would convert the bulk of that acreage to mining and commercial useage in the Stamp Creek Basin.
There are two public meetings next week to field comments regarding this proposed rezoning. The meetings will be held February 7th and 9th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
If you want to save Pine Log, show up at these meetings to voice your opposition to the proposed rezoning.
The proposed rezoning would drastically limit or completely eliminate hiking, biking, camping, hunting, fishing, and most if not all outdoor recreation access to Pine Lot WMA as any proposed “Greenspace” would be privately owned, settled amongst private communities.

The proposed rezoning will reduce Pine Log by at least 60% if not eliminate the WMA all together. Your access will be limited if not completely lost.

Additionally, the proposed rezoning would convert the majority of Pine Log WMA to mining and commercial uses. That could include more than a million square feet of commercial buildings, millions of square feet of warehouses, and thousands of residential units.
