Dear supporters,
We’ve got exciting news—and an opportunity to help!
The Washington Park Reservoir is officially reopening to the public on Friday, June 14, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and the Friends of the Washington Park Zoo Railway will be there with an information booth to share updates on our campaign to restore the historic Zoo Train.
🎉 This is a major public event, and it’s a perfect time to connect with the community, celebrate the park’s history, and raise awareness about our efforts to bring the train back to Washington Park!
🚂 We need your help!
We’re looking for volunteers to staff our booth. Whether you can help for an hour or the whole day, your presence will make a big difference. No experience required—just a love of parks, history, and Portland’s iconic little train.
📍 Where: Washington Park Reservoir
📅 When: Friday, June 14, 10am–4pm
📩 To volunteer: Email us at info@fwpzr.org or message us on social media.
Let’s show Portland that the Zoo Train still matters—to families, to history, and to the future of Washington Park.
See you at the reservoir!
