I was reading through mail news and came across this information that I think you should know is happening and deserved its own update.
According to Kimberly Karol, president of the Iowa Postal Workers Union, mail sorting equipment is being removed:
KING: Are you feeling these changes that are being made in Iowa?
KING: Curious - I hadn't heard about this one - equipment being removed. What equipment?
KAROL: The sorting equipment that we use to process mail for delivery. In Iowa, we are losing machines. And they already in Waterloo were losing one of those machines. So that also hinders our ability to process mail in the way that we had in the past.

No one can do everything, but everyone can do something. The USPS is a lifeline to medication, livelihood, friends and family for so many. Every little bit helps - especially now that sorting equipment is being removed.
One of the main strengths we have in pushing back is our numbers. All the support this petition and others have received tells me that more of us support the USPS than not.
