The ferry crossing is a haven for plentiful wildlife, including white tailed eagles, otters, seals, dolphins and many varied seabirds.

Allowing pylons to be constructed and routed along the Skye side of the ferry crossing would inevitably have an adverse effect on the habitats and feeding grounds.
