COMMUNITY UPDATE – WANNEROO SPORTS HUB  

Our local Member, Hon. Sabine Winton, has spoken out strongly against the City of Wanneroo’s latest move on the “Sports Hub” on Scenic Drive Park.

She has raised serious concerns about:
The massive increase in footprint – Over an existing sports oval.
The lack of proper consultation – she was only told AFTER Council had already decided to proceed.
The impact on our community & environment – this variation is too significant to ignore.

Sabine has formally requested that the community consultation period be extended past August 24th so ALL of Wanneroo, Joondalup, and our northern suburbs community have a say.

This isn’t just about residents nearby – this is about protecting an iconic foreshore loved by families, walkers, wildlife, and the whole region.
