We are sharing this urgent request from Sue Higginson, Greens Senator, to pass an amendment to have the Forest Bridge included in the GKNP. This is a critical moment as parliament makes their decision this Thursday. Please read below and click the link to add your name and let politicians know you support the amendment.

From Sue
"This week, after more than a decade of community campaigning, we are expecting the NSW Parliament to finally pass the laws that will create the Great Koala National Park!
This is an extraordinary moment for our forests, wildlife and everyone who has fought so hard to protect them.
LAST CHANCE FOR FOREST BRIDGE
Click to Save the Forest Bridge
For more than a decade, communities, forest defenders, scientists and advocates have worked tirelessly to make this park a reality. We have stood together through years of campaigning, protests, forest blockades and political battles.
This victory belongs to all of us, and especially to the communities who never gave up. Thank you!
But before we celebrate, we have one final opportunity to make the Great Koala National Park even better.
The Minns Labor Government has excluded important areas of koala habitat from the proposed park, including the Forest Bridge through Pine Creek and Tuckers Nob State Forests, which would connect existing national parks and provide a vital corridor for koalas and other threatened forest dependent wildlife.
This Thursday, I will be moving amendments in Parliament to secure permanent protection for the Forest Bridge, or at the very least stop logging in these critical forests while they are assessed for inclusion in the national park.
And right now, we need your help to give these amendments the best possible chance of succeeding.

I know this has been a long and difficult journey. The Minns Labor Government continued logging forests it had promised to protect, delayed their protection, and pushed Koalas and other species closer to extinction.
We haven't forgotten the damage that has been done, or the forests that have been left behind.
But this week, we have a real opportunity to celebrate an enormous achievement for nature. We will support the legislation and its urgent passage, and we will fight to make it the strongest possible outcome for our forests and wildlife.
And when the Great Koala National Park is finally secured, we will keep going, together, until all public native forests in NSW are protected and regenerated.
Thank you for everything you have done, and for standing with us for this final push.
For the planet
Sue Higginson"
