Dear Supporter,

Star Pubs and Bars have made contact and given us an update on progress. 
Despite their aspirations to proceed without delay the planning consent for the restoration of the Cock Inn prevents any works being undertaken until a written scheme of investigation ( WSI ) has been submitted and approved .
A WSI is a method statement that clearly details the process and approach to undertaking the  heritage works . 
Star Pubs have needed to secure the services of a specialist consultant and are pleased to inform us that this week contracts were signed .
Until now they have only been able to clear the site in preparation for works starting .
They give us reassurances that funding is ring fenced for The Cock Inn and encouragingly they are now actively in discussion with an operator
