Last Wednesday was a really stressful day, my letter to David Cameron was published in the EDP, The meeting at OPEN took place in Norwich, it was attended by service users, Carers, Norwich Mind, Edp, NSFT etc. BUT VERY CONSPICUOUS BY THEIR ABSENCE ANY ONE FROM ANY OF THE CCGs. The NSFT were adamant that they are not going to refund it!!!! They couldn't say what would be put in place instead of it. IN OTHER WORDS NOTHING !!!! We have asked for another meeting in two weeks time, this time to include the CCGs, they have surplus finances and could easily afford the £10,000 a month to keep it going. I have warned them that if the line isn't made permanent there will be more suicides especially if we have to go back to what we had before, answer machines that when you left a message your call was never returned, even when you did get through' have a cup of coffee ' have a bath' all the service users there agreed with me and reiterated what I said. One service user came from miles away and even though very ill still made it but no CCGs. I understand that the Norwich MP Cloe Smith has organised a meeting between herself, Mind, NSFT & CCGs. Let's hope some good comes out of it. WE CAN' T LET THE MIND LINE CLOSE. Please keep signing the petition, sharing the cause and fighting the NSFT & CCGs. We also have Councillors from Count Hall on our side and asking for meetings. PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP YET SERVICE USERS OR MIND STAFF!!! FIGHT TO THE BITTER END FOR THE SERVICE WE KNOW WORKS.
