Families will lose their homes, seniors will struggle to afford food and medical care and face evictions, hospitals will shut down and massive layoffs of healthcare personnel would occur, students’ dreams of going to college would be crushed and those who do would be saddled with crippling debt, mass detention in camps where refugees have no rights will result in staggering loss of life, and working Americans will be left behind—all while billionaires get $4.5 trillion in tax cuts. The suffering this budget would create is unimaginable, but we can stop it before it becomes reality.
