Update

Time for an update. 

There is still no decision on rural funding. Tick tock. Our rural contract will end on 30th June if Health NZ decides to change the definition of rural.  We worry that the decision will be made late giving us minimal notice of the final outcome. 

We have been vocal. We’ve been in NZ Doctor, Stuff and The Bay of Plenty Times/The Herald. I’ve spoken to Ian Powell the political commentator. Thanks to those of you who have spoken to the media as well to share your stories and your concerns. 

Today I met with James Denyer our mayor to discuss our strategy going forwards. I’m trying to be positive. Watch this space.
