Recent CSI News

Deadline just posted an article about the recent tv show cancellations and the apparent good news about CSI has me confused because from what has been said is that CBS aren't done with the CSI Franchise and there is a new CSI spin off in development but what i don't get is WHY? cancel CSI Vegas in the first place.
