Hello Campbell Supporters,
As we soldier forward towards the beginning of a new school year, the lens overviewing Campbell is muddy and uncertain. Many questions remain and families are worried. In a perfect world our only concerns right now would be which backpack, and did I forget anything on the supply list. This year already feels different because of the looming unthinkable possibility that our school could be shuttered. No matter the outcome, we Campbell Cougars will prevail. Our spirit cannot be dimmed, not even by the worst case scenario. As Helen Keller said "Keep your face to the sunshine, and you cannot see the shadow".
Our children are our future, they will react and act out, they will feel hurt or excited, they will seek support. Some may seek to understand, which leads me to my point today. Educate yourself, educate your friends and family who might attend a different JEFFCO school. Get involved with the discussion about Regional Opportunities for Thriving Schools and JEFFCO Thrives - 2025. We are currently in Phase-I of the plan, Phase-II begins June of 2023 when more schools will be under the microscope.
One way or another Campbell will be impacted by upcoming decisions. I am optimistic that our school is a good home to house education, that our hallways are not done gathering their stories, and that Campbell's value is palpable.
