Thank you so much to everyone who has signed the petition so far. We're at a critical point in our efforts to protect the nature preserve. We must demonstrate to the City of Lincoln that their "slam dunk" proposal to ignore the established nature preserve status and change the area into an active sports venue with a disc golf course and potentially paintball, is not wanted by the citizens and anyone that values conserving a nature preserve! Disc golf is a fine sport but it should be built in one of the alternative locations.

How can you help? For those that are local, please attend in person the Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting being held 12/7 at City Hall at 5pm and most importantly, attend in person the City Council Meeting on 12/13 at 6pm. We must let the City know that the majority of citizens do not want to destroy the nature preserve. Stop the City from spending any more time and money on planning a disc golf course at this location. If you aren't local or cannot attend in person, please share the petition.
