Detention strategy reveals paranoia and guilt of the authorities

Several Aarey Conservation Group volunteers have been "summoned" to the police station for questioning on days when there are official events around the Aarey metro complex and especially every time the PM decides to visit Mumbai. 

This violates the legal right to freedom of these individuals as they are being unofficially detained without a legal warrant. This practice reveals the attitude of the authorities who seem determined to push through their project without due process, consultation with civic society or concern for the rights and wellbeing of the citizens they claim to serve.
