This Tuesday, Grassroots Oasis is hosting a special poetry event to ignite your enthusiasm for the work ahead. Performance poet and community activist, Jeeni Criscenzo, will be performing poems about the people and places she loves, including a duet with her husband, recounting their recent cross-country train adventure: Doin' it on the Train! (In case you ever wondered what you can actually do on a train?). If you have a love poem you would like to perform, sign up for the open mic. Special performance of San Diego's famous Voices of Our City Choir! Enjoy a light dinner and scrumptious desserts (no creatures harmed in the making) and a variety of liquid libations.
