GUS is about 10 years old and weighs just 11.5 pounds. He was dumped by his owner due to moving. They claimed he was good with other dogs (did they take those dogs?) and wore diapers because he has some accidents indoors. He is crate trained but slept in the owner's bed. He has early cataracts and may also need a dental cleaning. His notes state "Will be available for rescue pull or euthanasia on 1/20/23". Remember that MORE THAN half of all animals entering this shelter are killed -- he needs us now!

If you are interested in joining us IN PERSON at the Apple Valley Animal Shelter  (AVAS) for an upcoming PROTEST, please text me at 213-948-3165. We are not releasing the upcoming date and time but it is set and we are asking for people who are for the animals to stand with us in protest. AVAS kills about 80% of all the animals entrusted to their care. That being said, they contract with out-of-the-area animal pounds with much higher human populations KNOWING that AVAS can not find adopters for their current animals. AVAS has merely become a death camp for animals and they've been getting away with it for years...UNTIL NOW. AVAS is known to lie and make up false health and behavioral reports which also allows AVAS to make false claims of much higher release rates. You see when they kill a dog because they claim it has distemper or is mean, it doesn't COUNT towards how many animals they kill. It actually makes their live release rates look HIGHER than it actually is. Plain and simple...AVAS STAFF ARE LIARS who are being exposed. 

Mayor Scott Nassif of Apple Valley has been helping the animal pound keep their lie too. Luckily for us, major media outlets are descending upon Apple Valley and have taken interest in our upcoming protest. If we do this right, our message will reach our governor's desk. The crimes committed AT APPLE VALLEY ANIMAL SHELTER have severe penalties but they don't seem to care as they kill and kill and kill. Things are about to change...GINA.
