CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME

The Head of the Sathya Sai International Organisation, JOHN BEHNER, bears a huge responsibility in spreading the valuable teachings of Sai Baba. However, when JOHN BEHNER was approached regarding the inhumane treatment of the dogs in the Sathya Sai Baba Ashram, he seemed to have dismissed any wrong associated with the actions of the ashram. INSTEAD, HE PERPETRATES THE ACTS OF VIOLENCE AND BELIEVES NO DOGS SHOULD BE WITHIN THE ASHRAM PREMISES. Is the focus inward or on the outward surroundings? Is the barking of the dogs or defecating of the dogs in the Mandir Area a real hindrance to any one person’s spiritual progress? But inflicting fear and pain to helpless and harmless animals seem to be in accordance to displaying ‘right conduct’. THE EIGHT PERMANENT ASHRAM DOGS HAVE BEEN DENIED THEIR RIGHTFUL SPACE IN THE ASHRAM AND ARE NOW LIVING ON THE STREETS. This is only a testimony of lack of spiritual progress and ignorance within the ashram and every individual that complies with such acts. Alas, the intensity of the negative emotions expressed for the dogs in the ashram surpasses all the positive energy that the ashram endeavours to create through bhajans and chanting’s. We don’t ask Mr. Ratnakar, the Trustees and the Management of the Sathya Sai Baba Ashram to love the dogs, but simply SHOW RESPECT FOR THEIR LIVES AND LIVING SPACE.
