After Tianze staying in this inappropriate Assessment and Treatment Unit in Middlesbrough for nearly 14 months, Tianze finally has been moved into a new Assessment and Treatment Unit in Prudhoe near New castle just now. he is 55 miles away from his new home in Middlesbrough again. It is not easy for him since normally autistic people refuse changes .He needs to get used to new environment ,new staff etc. This new ATU is a lower secure hospital for young children under 18 years old, it has a school there ,people use music theraphy etc not just drugs and restrain, Hope it is a better hospital for Tianze. At the beginning of November this year, Tianze will turn 18, at which point he will have to leave his current placement as it is a children's unit. Im currently desperately trying to arrange for Tianze to return home to have normal family life with good support in the local community in Middlesbrough ,We don't wish Tianze to be moved again to another adult ATU after his 18th birthday. But things are never work faster but always delay and slow. We are still very worried that the right support will not be in place by November unless we can speed up the process.
