1. How You Can Help:
Marci Stein, FAIR PTO President Below
Thank you to everyone who spoke at Monday’s board meeting in support of RAS schools. Click Here for Kare11 News Story on December 15th's Meeting
We have a chance to speak during the public hearing during the school board meeting Monday, January 5th. Two additional listening times have been added:
Monday, December 22 at 6:00 pm
Before The Meeting on Monday, January 5 at 6:00 pm
These are our opportunities to speak specifically about the proposed closure of the FAIR Pilgrim Lane building and a move to FAIR Crystal, which would discontinue FAIR middle school programming.
Please note: Listening sessions are not streamed online. The January 5 business meeting and public hearing will be streamed, but not the listening time portion.
Our PTO is working with FAIR Pilgrim Lane PTO and SEA PTA to prepare for these upcoming speaking opportunities. We have created a new survey to gather family enrollment intentions and better understand the impact of these proposed changes. This survey is different from the one sent earlier this fall, so please complete it even if you have already filled out a previous survey.
Take the survey here:

We are asking our community to show up to the listening session on Monday, December 22:
- Wear FAIR gear if you have it
- Bring your students and encourage them to sign up to speak if they want—student voices have a big impact
- Bring signs
- Take videos and pictures and tag FAIR Crystal and other PTOs on Instagram and Facebook
For both meetings we will meet at 5:00 pm at Caribou Coffee at 42nd and Winnetka in New Hope to get organized and make signs and buttons before heading to the ESC. At 5:30pm we will head to the Education Service Center at 4148 Winnetka Ave N, New Hope. You may sign up to speak or simply attend to show your support. If you would like to speak and need help with talking points or prefer to read a prepared statement, please let us know.
To sign up to speak, visit the School Board Page for details or use the Direct Form, then email your completed form to Molly_Olson@rdale.org.
We hope to see you on Monday, December 22, and again on January 5, either during the listening time or at the public hearing. These sessions follow different rules, which may affect when you choose to speak. The school board will vote after the public hearing.
Please reach out with any questions. Thank you for taking the time to help us fight these proposed changes to our FAIR schools. Want to connect with our team? Email us at FairSchoolCrystalPTO@gmail.com
2. Walk Out Details:
✨ A Powerful Day. A United Voice. A Moment That Mattered. ✨
The walkout was nothing short of extraordinary.
On December 11th at 2:35 PM, during 6th period, our students made Robbinsdale history. They poured out of their classrooms, knocking on doors, calling classmates to join them, cheering, and marching together through the halls with purpose and courage. Their energy was undeniable as they filled the auditorium—standing shoulder to shoulder for what they believe in.
Inside, students sang the school song, held handmade signs high, and bravely took turns speaking from the heart about why their school deserves to remain open. Their voices were strong, thoughtful, and impossible to ignore.
Outside, parents and community members showed up in full support—holding signs, cheering, and reminding our students that they are not alone. That solidarity meant everything.
The moment resonated far beyond our campus. News outlets were there, capturing photos and videos, helping share this powerful story with the wider community.
This was more than a walkout—it was a testament to unity, leadership, and the belief that when students and families stand together, their voices matter.
💙 Thank you to every student who showed courage.
💙 Thank you to every parent and supporter who stood beside them.
