Thank you to all of you that have signed the petition. Please keep sharing, as in due course the petition will be sent to the Local Authority along with the recent letter from the school. The letter from the Headteacher states that the exam results were the most improved exam results in Hampshire compared to similar schools.  

We have asked the school for some clarity about what this means as the GCSE results went down from 62% of pupils achieving Grade 4 or above in English/Maths in 2023 to 48% in 2024 (only 20.8% of pupils achieved Grade 5 or above in English/Maths in 2024) and the Attainment 8 score (pupil’s average grade across 8 GCSEs) went down from 41.8 in 2023 to 34.9 in 2024. There is also no indication what is meant by ‘similar schools’ in the letter.
