I know a lot of people in our community are upset and worried about the plan to move to every other week trash in July 2027.

There’s a lot of misinformation spreading, so hopefully this video will help you better understand the reasoning for the change that we negotiated, which was approved by the City Council in July 2023, and how we’re planning to engage you all over the next several months.

We’re holding a virtual public input session on December 15 at 6 p.m. where staff will give a presentation on the program, followed by a Q+A session.

An in person public meeting will be held the week of January 26, with more information to come.

We’re just about finished with our Community Feedback Form to better gauge your specific challenges with trash collection and disposal, as well as gain more insights into how you manage your household trash and will release it after the holiday.
