We have some encouraging news to share!
District of North Vancouver Councillor Jordan Back reached out and met with me and visited the trailheads in person. He has expressed strong support for restoring access to the Braemar/Dempsey trailhead, recognizing that it provides a safer and more balanced option for both commercial dog walkers and local residents.
Even better — Jordan will be meeting with Steve Jenkins from the DNV this Friday to discuss these concerns on behalf of our community. This is a meaningful step forward and shows that the District is starting to listen to our collective voice.
We’re hopeful that this discussion will help move things toward a safer, more practical trail access plan that keeps both workers and dogs protected while respecting resident concerns.
Your signatures and comments have made a real impact — thank you! Please keep sharing the petition with friends, family, and neighbours who support safe and fair trail access for everyone.
Together, we’re being heard. Let’s keep the momentum going!
