The Center for Public Integrity is asking the right questions: Was it a conflict of interest for Rep. Roger Williams to introduce an amendment that would allow car dealers to rent or loan cars with lethal safety defects? Since he owns a car dealership, I think the answer is clear: YES. Please share our video with members of the House Ethics Committee: Tweet the video: http://ctt.ec/8df5s Share this post on Facebook: http://on.fb.me/1IbPsSm "It seems to me that if it isn’t illegal, if it isn’t an ethics violation, it ought to be,” said Rosemary Shahan, president of Consumers for Auto Reliability and Safety, a consumer group. “His amendment benefits nobody but car dealers. And he’s a car dealer.” We're still negotiating the bill and have a shot at getting rid of this loophole so thank you for speaking up! Thank you, Cally
