None of us wanted to ask for money. After everything Dave and Tracy have done—bleeding both the Oregon and Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faires dry, misusing nonprofit funds, and retaliating against workers—it feels wrong to even bring up fundraising.

But if we want to challenge this legally, strategically, and ethically, we need resources. We’ve chosen Patreon not just to raise funds, but to create a secure space for organizing, sharing sensitive information, and building a path forward—together.

We know the current administration is reading our public posts and watching who speaks out. That’s why Patreon access requires payment—it gives us a way to screen for safety and protect whistleblowers, ex-staff, and supporters who can’t yet risk public involvement.

This is not about exclusivity. It’s about survival.
