This story is personal to me as someone who held Cameron Russell as an infant and justice was not served and a good father was ROBBED of his child by the state services he trusted!!!!
January 2010 death of Cameron Russell shows more patterned negligence from the Jackson county prosecutor, 4th circuit court and CPS. All committed by the “partisan accomplices” of Judge Diane Rappleye.
Cameron suffered a head injury Jan. 19 2010 and died the following day at the University of Michigan's C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor. Police said the boyfriend of Cameron's mother, R. W. Woodard told them he was carrying the boy when he “tripped over a dog” and Cameron hit his
head on a door jamb. At the time, police said the man was watching the boy while his mother was at work.
but medical experts at University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor testified Cameron’s head had forcibly hit a fixed surface, fracturing his skull, causing his brain to swell and inducing the collection of blood beneath the skin
on the left side of his head, a doctor testified in February.
The boy also had a collarbone fracture and multiple bruises. He died Jan. 20.
Evidence later surfaced at trial that Woodard had left Cameron alive for over two hours after his head was bludgeoned forcing the child through torture- like walking, sitting and forced to perform tasks while clearly impaired by injury to head. Still prosecutors and judge Mazur, judge bates and judge McBain didn’t prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.
Cameron’s father, Jerrold Russell, said
"I feel like justice needs to be served," said Russell, who cared for Cameron on the weekends and sometimes longer. In November, he filed a request for custody of the boy. Russell had been documenting pictures of bruises on his son but CPS was declining to remove the child immediately hearing was set, but Cameron was killed by Woodard 6 days before hearing.
Russell is trying to deal with his grief as a jury in Ronald Woodard case “wasn't convinced Woodard intended to kill 2-year-old Cameron Russell”
Nine days after the trial began, the jury acquitted Woodard of both first-degree felony murder and second-degree murder. They found him guilty of the least of three options, involuntary manslaughter. Woodard ultimately only got 22 years for killing Cameron and the mother was acquitted of any charges.
