On Saturday morning, May 25, hundreds of concerned Houstonians gathered at Houston City Hall to participate in the March to Save HISD Staff & Students. The protest, which started at 9:30 a.m. had community leaders, parents, teachers, students, principals, custodians, wraparound specialists, librarians, and other supporters rallying against the current management of the Houston Independent School District (HISD). It was scheduled until 11:00 a.m.

Help the HISD Community take the fight to Austin

The no bond and remove Mike Miles movement in Houston is picking up steam very quickly.

Bond community meetings have started this week.

Meeting dates are:

Tuesday, May 28th | 6- 8pm Forestbrook Middle (postponed June 10th)
Thursday, May 30th | 6 -8pm Cornelius Elementary
Saturday, June 1st | Virtual meeting
Tuesday, June 4th | 6-8pm Fondren Middle
Wednesday June 5th | 6-8pm Fleming Middle

The opposition to the bond with Mike Miles as superintendent has clearly been established with the "No Trust No Bond" statement at board meetings by parents and taxpayers.

As a deterrent for Westside parents, HISD has scheduled all of the in-person bond meetings in Black and Latino neighborhoods. HISD, under Mike Miles' leadership has consistently used race as a manipulation tool with such tactics as this.

Send the message to Mike Miles that we are a united HISD by attending the in-person bond community meetings!
