The head of Transportation, and his boss were back in our community this morning. He called me afterwards to inform me his boss came to the same conclusion as he had prior. He further explained the next steps are for us to take our concerns to the Transportation Review Committee. 
The Transportation Review Committee is a volunteer committee made up of 3 community members (usually parents), 1 Law Enforcement representative, and 1 Elementary or Middle School Principle. We would be scheduled to meet them and present our concerns. If we have only 3 speakers, each is given 5 minutes. If it’s more, they limit everyone to 3 minutes. Then they issue a decision. This is different from the school board as we would be specifically scheduled for a review of our issue- no other issues. Should they deny our request, we could then take it to the School Board. 
They informed me the person that does the scheduling will be back on the 9th and they will get us scheduled by the end of next week. I’ll keep you all updated as soon as we have a date and time.
