I am so excited to report our petition demanding the release of full, unredacted body cam footage in the shooting of Rodney Wilson by Wilmington Police Department and New Hanover County Sheriff's Office has garnered 210 signatures!
This is an exciting milestone for us. People are talking about Rodney's situation. Some of the dialogue is racist and hurtful, but more of the dialogue is compassionate and supportive.
Compassion and support is exactly what Rodney needed on August 21, 2026, when he was in the midst of a severe psychiatric crisis. Instead, Rodney was met with a brutal barrage of gunfire by local law enforcement.
We have a long road ahead. Rodney faces both a daunting physical recovery and a tough legal battle. We have created two fundraising pages to raise money for Rodney's medical care and legal fees.
