The reason why this matters to me because I know from  my own lived experiences how much the governments decision to scrap the cost of living payment for people on PIP.

To be clear not everyone on PIP will be receiving other benefits. PIP is given to people who have a debilitating illness or disability and it’s designed to pay for the extra costs we incur, such as care, PPE, aids and adaptations, taxi fares etc.

The rising fuel costs are causing people like me to make difficult choices. This winter some people will die because they can’t afford heating and food. I know I will be ok because I am blessed with family and friends who will support me. 

Together we are shining a light on a decision that must be over turned. Please continue to use your voice to speak for those who can’t.
