Thank you for standing for probity in our universities.

The petition now has over 1,500 signatures, and I thank you for that support.

I also ask you to please share the petition once more via your social media contacts, to seek further signatures towards for this important cause.

Professor Graeber has told me that he has been contacted by a number of people who have had similar experiences to him.  He is keen to gather more examples, so please do visit his website and reach out to him with your own stories.

The issues he raises are fundamental to the proper functioning of our universities, and are not unique to the University of Sydney.  I do believe that if left unchallenged and unchanged, universities will entirely lose their standing as bastions of free speech, open enquiry, honest debate and intellectual discourse.  Instead, they will continue their descent towards authoritarian stupefaction of our society.

So please do reach out to Professor Graeber and share your own experiences with him, and also spread this petition further.
