A Sincere Heartfelt "Thank You", goes out to all of you that have supported us so far, we really appreciate your help, together we can make a difference.

Sadly we have just heard the terrible news that an 8-month old baby died while the parents waited for an ambulance to arrive, their local ambulance had been sent to Kamloops to cover their lack of ambulances (see CTV News 29th August 2022). This is exactly the kind of situation we are fighting against, maybe this could have been avoided if we had enough Paramedics to man all of the Ambulance stations in BC. At least this family would have had the chance it deserved.

Nobody should die because of the lack of an ambulance, neither young nor old, especially when there are highly qualified and experienced Paramedics that are willing and available to work, if only they would allow us to go back.

Last November the Government, aided by our employer, needlessly took 100's of Ambulances out of service by firing so many Paramedics while our union, seemed for the most part, silence in the media about what was happening to its members. These Paramedics had already worked safely right through the worst of the pandemic, studies proved that they were not a threat to patients or vice versa. There was no science behind this decision, now we need them to reverse that bad decision and put those ambulances back in to service, sooner rather than later.

Please share this petition with everyone you know, we want to get back to work, BC needs us back in work. Thank you again
