Good morning, Honourable Prime minister and Honorable Members of Parliament.
As you know, the average working hours in India are 65 hours per week. This means that many employees are working unpaid overtime.
The long working hours are having a negative impact on the health and well-being of employees. Employees who work long hours are more likely to experience fatigue, stress, and burnout. They are also more likely to have health problems such as heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.
The long working hours are also having a negative impact on the productivity of employees. Studies have shown that employees who work long hours are less productive than employees who work shorter hours.
I urge you, Honorable Members of Parliament, to take steps to reduce the working hours in India. You can do this by passing legislation that limits the number of hours that employees can work to 40 hours per week. You can also provide financial assistance to employers who adopt policies that promote work-life balance.
Reducing the working hours will improve the health and well-being of employees. It will also improve the productivity of employees. I urge you to take action on this important issue.
Thank you for your time.
