This started as my broken heart for my son Rex, my emotional support dog who was taken from me on 09/10/2026. He was only 2. He was my whole world — my shadow, my safe place, my boy.
Rex wasn't "just a dog." He was medical. He was family. He was the reason I could breathe on hard days. And the system failed him. It fails so many of us.
This petition is for him. It's for every person who has an ESA who is more than a pet — who is a lifeline. We deserve to have our babies recognized and protected federally so no other family has to feel this pain.
