I wanted to take a moment to respond to "A Parent 2" first thank you for the beautiful illustration of irony in calling me out as a coward for not identifying myself, and doing the exact same thing yourself. That's good stuff! Second thank you for the opportunity to remind folks, both supporters and non-supporters (not sure which camp you are in), that the board members are publicly elected officials whose contact information is ALREADY PUBLIC! Any and all constituents have the right to contact them, that's how democracy works. Thirdly this petition is just an organized opportunity for people to have a place to share their thoughts, and know that the people who have the capacity to make changes, the publicly elected board members, will be certain to hear, or rather see them in the form of an e-mail. If you don't want to participate you are not obligated to. In fact you are free to start an opposing petition if you are so inclined. Once again thank you for the opportunity to clarify these points. :-)
