The Rodney legacy also lives in today’s Man Booker Prize 2015 winner #@MarlonJames5 Institute of Caribbean Studies, University of the West Indies is proud to be the collaborative host of its Annual Walter Rodney Lecture as a special open air #Justice4WalterRodney event October 15-16, 2015 this year. Largely through social media activism, it aims to generate public awareness of Walter Rodney and promote signing the current petition to extend the Commission of Inquiry into his death. Normally delivered by a distinguished Caribbean personality each year, it commemorates the anniversary of the “Rodney Riots” of October 16, 1968 in Jamaica.
