The Planning Commission is another opportunity to have a significant beneficial influence on the future of Lakewood.
There are a total of seven members on the Commission. City Council has eleven members. So in the sense, a Planning Commission member has even more influence than a council member does with regard to development matters!
The Planning Commission conducts public hearings on rezoning and subdivision applications, approves certain special use permits, and reviews site plans for land development. Commission members also serve on the Board of Adjustment.
