By NPCA CAO Mark Brickell's own admission, these are ecologically sensitive areas; encouraging excessive human, and potential vehicle, traffic does not serve the greater good, does not represent conservation best practices, and could have disasterous effects on not only the habitat but on creatures who call these conservation areas home. This policy was neither discussed with the public at large nor the members of the municipalities for whom the NPCA holds these lands in stewardship. and is in direct conflict with the NPCA's own mandate. Keep Conservation Area lands open for the public; end any agreement to use Conservation Area lands for military uses.
