• May 13th Plan Commission Meeting—The City holds a Public Hearing on the Verizon Application but moves the vote on the Application to the June 10th Plan Commission meeting. Adjacent residents with the help of a telecommunications lawyer submit a thirty-nine page Memorandum of arguments, including a lack of safety for nearby residents relating to lightning, falling ice and debris, failing tower and fire, to the Plan Commission. The City publishes the materials submitted from Verizon, but fails to publish the residents’ Memorandum on its Web site. A number of residents present arguments against the cell tower that can be viewed on the City’s web site.
