Our beloved Furlan Club is now protected under a temporary Heritage Overlay.

This is a monumental win — and it happened because a wave of voices rose up.

A big Thank you to all of you who signed our petition — and a big Thanks to those who wrote letters, shared your stories, stood up for what’s right, and made sure you were heard.

Your words carried weight. Your passion made impact.

You influenced this decision in the most powerful way — through People Power.

You didn’t just support a cause.

You backed a Story! a Legacy! a Home!

This decision gives our Club the chance to breathe again — to stand tall as a symbol of Resilience, Culture, and Community Unity.

The walls built by our elders now have a shield — and we built it together.

To Darebin Council, we say Thank You for taking bold leadership. You chose

People over profit.
Heritage over haste.

You’ve given our community the opportunity to preserve something that can never be rebuilt once destroyed — Our Shared History!

We will be keeping this petition live — because now, the real work begins.

We’re taking our mission to Parliament.

This petition will grow over the coming months, reaching local, state, national, and international voices.

Because this was never just about a vote to preserve the Furlan Club — this is a message to all:

Community matters. History matters. Culture matters. People power matters.

And where there is darkness — look closely.
