Today it was hot even in the shade of our crosswalk. I shot clips of the incoming traffic and the crosswalk when the light was red for an hour, tested the new pocket radar unit a little, then had lunch and made a walking tour of the lower loop, shooting all of the crosswalks, testing the crosswalk buttons, and screenshotting the Google Maps little blue dot that is where I am.
I found the other two crosswalks in the lower loop that were posted 10 MPH and shot stills of the signs and the crosswalk. One of these two is at the Tavern On The Green just upstream of us and the other is near the entrance to the Summer Stage on the east side of the park. Neither of these 10 MPH zones had the same setup like ours, with the three moveable signs and the moveable barrier.
Before I left, I put up a handbill that was a copy/paste of CPC rules for bicycles shown on its website. When I got back, CPC had done a half-hearted takedown that made it look as though the cyclists did it.
Performance art.
Tonight's photo is a public eyesore with a message.
