🔴 Final 24 Hours: Portal Closure and Next Steps

Today is the final day to submit formal representations to Midlothian Council regarding the Proposed Local Development Plan zoning. The public portal will permanently lock at 5:00 PM today, Friday 25 September 2026.

Here are some things we can still do:

📥 Submit Your Additions: If you have already filed your objection but wish to send additional evidence, you can email a supplementary addendum directly to the planners before 5:00 PM: ldp@midlothian.gov.uk

✍️ Sign the Collective Framework: Remember to sign and share the Midlothian Climate Action Network (MCAN) environmental statement to ensure our localized green space protections are backed by a county-wide policy front: https://www.midlothianclimateaction.org.uk/mldp2-community-statement/

📈 Keep the Database Growing: While the signature numbers will be formally downloaded and filed with the planning department, this petition will remain open.
