One survivor steps forward, Then another, and then another. Because predators abuse one child then another. A familiar story. Some abuse up to 300 children; meaning every hidden predator identified, every hidden predator added to sex abuse registries, protects multiple children. Predators who deserve justice not the protection of the law. New York’s statutes of limitation on the crime are among the worst in the country. And the well-funded organizations who hire lobbyists to protect sexual predators and endanger children have found a committed audience in New York’s senate. New York’s statutes of limitations on child sex abuse are some of the worst in the country. Working together we can oppose the well monied special interests lobbying to protect predators. Here are some things you can do to make a difference: 1) Make a donation to our fundraiser so we can run more advertising educating parents about the dangers. 2) Get one person to sign the petition. Every signature makes a difference. 3) Find a news story about child sexual abuse, add a comment about this petition and include a link. We can still win, we can still protect children, if we appeal to Governor Cuomo. But we will need to work hard to get his attention.
