According to the Clutha Leader: Council Chief Executive Steve Hill said his staff have been researching the question of a bylaw since I made contact with them mid 2020, and were nearing the point at which it could be presented to councillors for discussion. “A report is expected to go to council in the next two months regarding a review of the bylaw. Any provisions relating to the beaches would form a new section,” said Steve Hill. “The regulatory bylaw review is likely to take eight to 12 months, but could be starting within the next two months, if council agrees.” Please contact the Clutha District Council to positively encourage them to establish a bylaw!
