Thank you once again for your support in helping oppose the previous planning application at 96B Meols Drive. Your involvement 2 years ago made a genuine impact and showed the strength of local feeling toward protecting the Meols Drive Conservation Area. The planning committee sided with us at that time and chose to refuse application APPH/23/01512.
A new and even more significant planning application has now been submitted next door at Clavis, 96 Meols Drive (APP/25/01927), proposing extensive extensions to Clavis and the construction of two new houses in its garden - creating nine dwellings on this single historic villa plot within the Conservation Area.
This level of development would cause substantial harm to the character, openness and heritage setting of the Meols Drive Conservation Area, including the views from the Royal Liverpool Golf Course.
We’ve launched a new petition to oppose this proposal and protect this sensitive part of West Kirby.
