Many thanks to all of you who called for the President to stop all work on Directed Energy Weapons. Fifty Signatures is a lot for someone with as meager a social media presence as me.

I had two goals with this petition. First: to get an actual action from our elected representatives; not just an investigation. Second: to share my insight into how the DEWs might plausibly work, so that any of you could go to your local law enforcement with something more that, "I'm being attacked by high-tech gadgetry."

I've also been trying to find statements from members of Congress regarding Havana syndrome, and I am disappointed. I believe we should press them to make unambiguous statements like, "Make no mistake: Anyone who uses Directed Energy Weapons against people is a criminal, and any law-enforcement officer who fails to pursue them is a criminal." Congressmen who won't take such a strong position could be seen by the attackers as giving tacit approval.

Again, I believe the mechanics of the weapons is that they are a network of "phased arrays" which operate at very short wavelengths (much shorter than microwaves), so that the devices could be as small as normal microchips, and hidden in ordinary objects. I also believe they can traumatically affect the human body with very low power, contrary to what some have said.
