Good Morning All
I'm glad to report that our petition is now getting close to 90,000 signatures. I'm also glad to see that others are starting to write about a student loan jubilee- like this opinion piece at the Salt Lake Tribune (this is a conservative newspaper, so that bodes well). We are in good contact with various news organizations. When we hit 100,000 signatures we'll be in a good position to publish something meaningful. Here is a live stream I did about all this last night.
We're getting close, folks. We've been fighting this battle for 15 years, and this is the first time I am saying that!
It is CRITICAL that we push the petition harder than we ever have. It does no good to wait, watch, and worry. Use this time to improve your situation. In helping us with this, everybody benefits. Use this time well.
Take a few minutes. Do at least these simple things:
1. Paste the link to the petition in at least 20 highly visible places? This could be on large groups on Facebook, comments sections below well-read articles, Instagram, Linked-in...wherever there are lots of eyeballs. Be creative. Be Clever.
2. Tweet the link to at least 10 celebrities, politicians, or other influencers. Here is one example I am using:
@Oprah Cancel Student Loans! Our petition calling on the President to do this by executive order is long overdue. Will you please help spread the word about this quickly growing petition? http://chng.it/mXM5m6vC
3. Boost the petition. We are again asking everyone to do this instead of donating to us. It helps. A Lot.
4. Get this video to the president. Below are a couple of good links to do this, but think of other avenues. Maybe his friends, maybe the Trump Organization. Maybe his kids...you get the idea!
