So many lives have been affected by rheumatoid disease -- and it's not just the people with RD; it affects the lives of those around them, too. Read this "reason for signing" below from Lisa of Cleveland, NC: "Loved ones suffer with RA & no one seems to "get it." They don't understand because "you look perfectly healthy" & "you are too young for arthritis." People say stupid things, which tell you they have NO IDEA the true effects of this disease. Educating the general public would be amazing! I also realize each individual has a limit on the capability of their "understanding" & if they have no desire to understand or educate themselves, they will not learn. Funding & research for this disease is so little. That MUST change soon. People have suffered long enough with this devastating, life-altering disease. Please help, Mr. President!!!"
