Police and National Guard continue to violate international laws regarding the rights of indigenous people, according to independent United Nation observers, independent journalists have been arrested, one was shot in the back as she interviewed a water protector. Freedom of the Press, Freedom of Assembly, Freedom of Religion and Freedom of Speech have all been violated by the police and National Guard. The Bismarck newspaper reported what the Tribe and encampment had confirmed, that the hillside behind these military men IS a burial site. The water protectors were trying to go there to pray- this photo shows how they were treated when they tried to go to federal TREATY LAND to pray.
