Progress while slow is happening! In particular:
1. Increased Water Police presence with a targeted jet ski blitz campaign which at last included Rye - Sorrento on the Australia Day weekend. Multiple fines were issued.
2. MPSC Mayor & the CEO, Marine Safety and other State Government reps. have met to discuss introducing jet ski free zones and limiting where jet skiers can berth on our busy southern peninsula beaches.
3. The elected representative Chris Brayne MP has met with the Minister of Fishing & Boating to discuss the jet ski issues facing the Peninsula during the summer. We are awaiting a briefing from him.
