Hello everyone,

Quick update; it’s not really one we want to be sharing, but we only have 13 days left of our visa, so effectively 13 days left to get a permanent residency offer.

I had to hand my notice in at my job yesterday, as I don’t have an ongoing work visa after August 2nd, and need to provide 2 weeks notice. This means I am no longer able to receive my maternity leave pay from them after this date too.

Queensland migration are currently closed and haven’t opened up for this financial year year, so things aren’t looking too promising at this point, though we still have a glimmer of hope 🙏🏼🥺✨

The reality of having to pack up and sell our whole lives and leave Australia, with baby Sienna and our two dogs is getting too close for comfort.

Lewis interviewed with 7 News about our story a few weeks ago, and we are hoping this will be aired soon!
